The Revival Receive Cease & Desist Over Using The Revolt

PWInsider has reported that former WWE Superstars The Revival (now known as The Revolt) recently received a cease & desist order over their attempts to trademark the phrase “Fear the Revolt”. The cease and desist come from Indy tag team The Revolt (Caleb Konley & Zane Riley) who have used the name for the last five years on the Indy scene. According to the letter sent the the attorney of The Revival The Revolt is a well known team on the Indy scene and have plenty of merchandise and accolades.

“The Revolt are well-known in the independent professional wrestling circuit and are the current PWX World Tag Team Champions. Mr. Burnett and Mr. Riley sell a range of Revolt-branded merchandise including t-shirts, hats, and DVDs, as shown in Exhibit B. The Revolt has been their passion for years and they have literally put their blood and sweat into building The Revolt brand and connecting with their fans.”
